May 2017: The new Tölz town hall building is ready for occupancy. The third floor is the pride and joy of the extension. In addition to its urban architecture, the approximately 200 square meter conference room offers a magnificent view over the roofs of Bad Tölz. The media technology is clearly and flexibly integrated into the barrier-free usage concept of the large hall. The Crestron touch panel not only controls the media technology – the lighting and shading can also be conveniently operated depending on requirements and the event.
The 3×3 video wall not only allows content to be presented in UHD resolution during city council and plenary sessions - for events such as cinema screenings or weddings, the meeting room is transformed into a modern event location. The entire media and building technology can be controlled both via a Crestron touch panel and via the Crestron Control app on an additional Android tablet. This offers users the flexibility they need for events of all kinds. In addition to the video wall, there are two mobile info monitors that switch on automatically as soon as they are wired in the meeting room.
Content is fed into the system wirelessly via AirMedia, HDMI, VGA, Blu-Ray player or even via a high-resolution document camera. A powerful multimedia matrix takes care of digital signal management in the background and enables loss-free transmission of image and audio signals.
The professional audio concept offers the audience an excellent sound image despite the many windows in the conference room. A wireless discussion system from Sennheiser is used for plenary sessions. The mobile microphone units are set up variably and as required. They ensure excellent speech intelligibility. In addition, a handheld microphone and a headset are available for dynamic discussions and presentations. All microphone units and microphones can be conveniently stored and charged in the specially designed mobile roll cases when not in use.</p
The audio is played back via a Bose full-range speaker system consisting of a front array system, several ceiling speakers and two mobile bass speakers. The modular design of the array speakers minimizes unwanted floor/wall reflections. In combination with several in-ceiling loudspeakers and two flexible bass loudspeakers, a true-to-life reproduction of speech and music can be achieved. The speaker system fits perfectly into the versatile room concept.

People with impaired hearing can take part in city council meetings in Bad Tölz without barriers.
For people with hearing impairments or limitations, an inductive hearing assistance system for acoustic accessibility was installed in the meeting room. There is a copper tape loop in the floor, which distributes the audio signal directly to mobile receivers (radiators, etc.) via a ring loop amplifier. This allows the participants' voice contributions to be transmitted to the ear without any loss of quality. The only requirement is the presence of a so-called ‘T-coil’ on the handset.
