With its open and light-flooded architecture, the Hilti Academy offers new opportunities for employee training and training courses for customers. We were able to equip the large hall with an intelligent media technology solution that conditions the room to variable room sizes. The operating concept for the media and lighting control adjusts automatically when the partition wall is closed. For large events with open use, such as town hall meetings, conferences or kick-off events for employee and customer training, the large room can be flexibly controlled via both touch panels.
Directional ceiling loudspeakers can be used to create a directional sound impression. When the partition is closed, the media control is automatically configured to two independent control units. Not only does the touch panel interface change, but the audio orientation of the sound system also changes according to the projection direction. This ensures a natural alignment of the acoustic and visual perspective for the auditorium. The trigger is activated via an electrical partition contact.
A custom-made media stele is located in the entrance area of the hall. This includes an additional touch panel to control the video conference function and a Blu-Ray slot. Speakers can present their content wirelessly via Miracast stick, wired via HDMI and alternatively via Blu-ray playback. The preview function on the touchscreens allows you to view and check the content before it is displayed on the projections. Due to the light-flooded architecture of the hall, a total of three WUXGA LCD laser projectors with 12,000 ANSI lumens were installed. With their brightness, they ensure brilliant image reproduction on the huge screens.
The media sound is directed via the discreetly integrated ceiling speakers and two designer wall subwoofers. A total of six flexible wireless microphones and headsets are available for the speakers. For events in which the two rooms are used in combination with the foyer, the audio routing can be conveniently extended via a touch panel. The external video wall is integrated into the media control system via fiber optics so that it can also be supplied with content from the large hall. The heart of the system - the central control unit - is located in the basement of the building. Here, all components run via an independent media technology network without a direct connection to the Internet. The building technology is integrated into the media control system via a KNX system bus, so that the heating, ventilation, lighting and blinds can be conveniently controlled via the touchscreens in the hall.
