Projekt Continental Automotive GMBH
Continental Automotive GmbH
Customer: Continental Automotive GmbH
Industry: Automotive
Implementation: 2020
In this networked conference room project, the customer's specifications included three key requirements
- Great importance was attached to a „One Cable Solution“ üvia USB-C.
- The signal and power cabling should be implemented as invisibly as possible
- The media technology installation must be protected against intentional or accidental manipulation.
Other important aspects and challenges in this project were:
- The solutions offered must be able to be operated in an energy-efficient manner.
- ComPeri provides maintenance and service for all solutions offered.
- The audio and video conferencing technology must offer the highest audio/video quality.</li
- The video conferencing systems must be flexible to use and have an intuitive user logic and interface design that is consistent throughout the building.
- In addition to the media technology, the central control system should also be able to control the Eib-KNX building technology such as lighting, shading and air conditioning.
- The video conferencing software must function independently of the installed hardware (MS Teams, Zoom etc.).
- The conference room system must support multiple conferences using multipoint services.
- ComPeri guarantees compliance with corporate guidelines regarding IT security and encryption.
The ComPeri team used its brand-new in-house development „One4All USB-C“ for the first time during project planning, as the following functions – software-independent! – can be covered by just one single USB-C cable.
- USB-C connection to the complete media technology such as speakers, microphone, camera
- Connection of older devices via USB-A and HDMI input
- Dual monitor in 4K
- Charging function
In addition, all conference rooms, huddle rooms and the board conference room were equipped with Crestron TSW-760 touch panels. These can be used to control the entire AV technology as well as the building technology such as lighting and dimming. A QSC system enables central AV control of the entire conference zone with its five conference rooms and the boardroom.
The heart of the system is the QSC Enterprise Core 5200, which is the first true AV real-time operating system to handle all audio and video functions.
The audio and video routing is fully automatic via BYOD. Manual selection and switching is carried out using Crestron TSW-760 touch panels. The GUI user interfaces were designed in the customer's corporate design for this purpose.
Highest standards for network, image and sound quality
For high-quality audio, the rooms were equipped with Shure MXA910 ceiling microphones and custom-made lb display speakers from the DL series. The up to 64 possible SIP instances of the Core 5200 were assigned to the respective rooms.
Professional Samsung 75“, 85“, 98“ 4K displays and an Epson EB-L610U laser projector in combination with QSC PTZ-IP and Huddly IQ cameras were used for image transmission.
Network routing takes place via QSC NV32H. This expands the Q-SYS ecosystem and also adds stable USB routing.
A central Crestron Fusion Server rounds off the installation and enables the monitoring and management of all components using a standardized software platform. The management server and its implementation were planned in collaboration with Continental Automotive so that the existing rooms could be integrated into the new data and video system.
Identical video conferencing systems at all Continental locations ensure an intuitive and standardized operating concept
The management video conference room was equipped with a Cisco video conferencing system including Cisco touch panels.
This ensures that the video conferencing system is operated intuitively and uniformly at all Continental locations.
In addition, the desired Eib-KNX building technology functions such as lighting, blinds etc. were integrated. All components used are also Microsoft Teams certified.
Thanks to the „ComPeri Care“ maintenance contract, the customer is provided with an all-round carefree package and can rely on a smooth-running system without downtime thanks to proactive monitoring.
